Meet the Maker: My Journey to The August Path

Hello, and welcome to The August Path!

I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Laura, and I created The August Path to offer a better, more intentional way to care for your skin and body — one rooted in science, tradition, and integrity.

My Background

I am a licensed pharmacist with an undergraduate degree in microbiology. For years I worked in conventional healthcare, helping patients navigate medications and treatments. While I deeply respect modern medicine, I also saw its limitations — especially when it came to long-term wellness and the desire for gentler, more natural options.

That led me to study herbalism extensively. I wanted to find safer, time-tested alternatives to many prescription-based approaches for everyday skin and body care. Traditional herbal medicine, used for centuries across cultures, felt like the missing piece: powerful, time-honored remedies that support the body’s own healing intelligence.

Why “The August Path”?

The name “August” comes from the idea of something revered, noble, and elevated. To me, this represents the higher path — choosing ancient wisdom and natural ingredients that have been refined and tested by time. Herbs and traditional medicine aren’t trends; they’re our collective heritage of healing. The August Path honors that legacy while bringing it into the present with care and precision.
